Filing and Due Dates

In accordance with Chapter 66 of the Texas Education Code, the lessee shall provide University Lands Accounting a copy of every contract for the sale or processing of oil or gas and any subsequent agreement and amendment together with a completed Oil/Gas Contract Brief (Form UT-5) within 30 days after the contract, agreement, or amendment is made.

Confidentiality

In accordance with Chapter 66 of the Texas Education Code, all contracts and agreements when received by University Lands Accounting will be held in confidence unless otherwise authorized by law or by the lessee.

Completion of Oil and Gas Contract Brief (Form UT-5)

The lessee shall complete a separate UT-5 for each oil and gas contract filed. The completed UT-5 must be attached to the corresponding oil/gas contract and submitted to University Lands Accounting.
